Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services in Virginia seeks an Air Cargo Manager on Duty to direct supervisory personnel, manage staffing, and ensure customer satisfaction through daily feedback. You will liaise between first-level supervision and upper management, monitor operations to meet safety, security, quality, and employee relations standards, and uphold TSA regulations.

• Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Operate equipment and hold necessary licensing (if applicable).
• Perform shift-specific responsibilities and report to work timely.
• Demonstrate 2–5 years of management experience; college degree.
• Understand airline pricing context and apply accordingly.
• Work on weekends, holidays, and days off.

Job Summary

The work of Manager-on-Duty includes directing supervisory personnel within assigned functional area; overseeing and advising on staffing requirements; monitor/administer discipline/corrective action by or for subordinates; ensuring customer satisfaction by daily feedback; acting as liaison between first level supervisor and upper management. Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation.

Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Read, understand and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge. Ensures they administer practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect.
