Blue Purpose is seeking a skilled AI/ML Software Engineer with strong C#/.NET, SQL, and AI/ML experience to join our IT team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions, debugging complex applications, and collaborating in a team environment. The AI/ML Software Engineer will have a solid background in software design using SOLID principles with HIPAA compliant datasets, and healthcare industry knowledge.

Job Location: Remote. Tampa/Orlando Florida Resident preferred due to the team being in Florida.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test and troubleshooting applications utilizing the appropriate technology.
• Maintain, modify and test existing applications; make approved changes in a timely manner.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy new applications in Azure.
• Help define the AI/ML/GenAI technical direction and vision, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and digital transformation efforts.
• Translate the vision of business leaders into realistic technical implementations, while identifying misaligned initiatives and impractical use cases.
• Design end-to-end AI architectures, from data ingestion to model deployment, integrating with cloud and on-premises systems.
• Write and maintain programming documentation.
• Understand and contribute to MLOps and LLMOps, focusing on operational capabilities and infrastructure to deploy and manage machine learning models and large language models.
• Conduct research to provide technical solutions to scale AI/ML powered features for real-world challenges, making trade-offs based on quality, scalability, performance, and cost.
• Gather inputs from multiple stakeholders to align technical implementation with existing and future requirements.
• Audit AI tools and practices across data, models and software engineering, focusing on continuous improvement and feedback mechanisms.
• Design, implement, and maintain distributed computing solutions for data processing and model training, ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of machine learning infrastructure.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

· Minimum 5+ years of experience working with .NET and C#.

· Proficient in ASP.NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.

· Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

· Strong understanding of software development life cycles, methodologies, and best practices.

· Experience with version control systems like Git.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and team collaboration abilities.

C#/.NET Qualifications:

• Proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET Core, .NET Framework, ASP.NET).
• 4+ years of experience in implementing cloud-based AI/ML workloads on any of AWS, Microsoft and Azure.
• Experience with SQL (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Familiarity with Entity Framework or other ORM frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and Web APIs (ASP.NET Web API, SOAP APIs).
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, Blazor, React) is a plus.
• Experience with Azure or AWS for hosting, CI/CD, and cloud-based services.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field is required.
• 4+ years' experience application and database development or related work experience is required.
• 4+ years’ experience working with AI tools and delivering AI solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex applications.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
