Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality, LLC is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations in line with GAAP. You will supervise accounting staff, review entries, and uphold internal controls while coordinating with external auditors.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvements, and accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced hospitality environment. CPA is required; SEC/public accounting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• CPA certification is required.
• Prior SEC or public accounting experience is desired.
• Proficient with general ledger systems, MS Excel and other analytical tools.
• Highly motivated individual that works well in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong managerial and organizational skills.
• Strong critical thinking/analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate accounting issues with senior leaders and external auditors both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise month end closing activities and provide guidance to accounting staff during the process.
• Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Oversee resolution of accounting discrepancies and issues.
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial statements through review and ensuring monthly closing steps have been performed completely and accurately.
• Oversee staff ensuring closing checklists are fully utilized and updated as needed.
• Ensure Company financial records are maintained in compliance with Company policies and US GAAP.
• Further develop internal controls over financial reporting and accounting processes.
• Serve as a resource for groups outside the accounting function on accounting matters.
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Hire, develop, retain and direct high-performing team members.
• Demonstrate leadership and management in a manner that positively motivates and supports company values, policies and ethical procedures.
• Create an environment that allows for creativity and fosters independent thinking.
• Proactively establish priorities and ensure consistent and timely follow through.
• Coordinate responses to external audit groups.
