CROSS ELEMENTARY in Katy, Texas is seeking a SPED Aide to support instructional needs, assist with data collection, and implement IEP accommodations under a teacher's supervision. This role requires meeting Title I/Non-Title I campus qualifications and maintaining confidentiality.

Starting immediately for a full-time, on-site position with 187 duty days. Applicants should have Paraprofessional Educational Aide II certification or be eligible, and may be asked to communicate effectively with

Responsabilidades

• Assist teachers with preparation, implementation, and data collection of student academic, behavioral, and functional goals.
• Deliver accommodations and supports to students with IEPs in whole group, small group, or individual settings.
• Assist with classroom management and behavioral plans; perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain confidential student records.
• Perform Other SHARS duties as assigned.
• Provide personal care as identified in applicable student IEPs.

Pay Grade: IS03

Qualifications:

College hours 15 or high school diploma or GED (with a passing score of 464 on the ParaPro test) for Non-Title I campus

Primary Purpose:

Assist the teacher with instructional needs as appropriate

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with the preparation, implementation, and data collection of student academic, behavioral, and functional goals, accommodations, modifications, and delivery of supports
• Deliver accommodations, modifications, and other supports to students with special education services in whole group, small group, or individually, as described in the IEP.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and behavioral plans. Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain confidential student records.
• Other SHARS Duties as assigned.
• Provide Personal Care as identified in applicable student IEPs.

Working Conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment. May be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint; and assist nonambulatory students. Expose to biological hazards.
