Job summary

Pearland Independent School District is seeking an Educational Assistant to support teachers in preparing and managing classroom activities and administrative tasks. You will work under the supervision of a certified teacher to assist with daily instruction and student activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of college or an associate degree (or equivalent), and a Texas Educational Aide Certificate (can be obtained after hiring).

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (can be obtained after hire).
• Two years of college or an associate's degree or equivalent demonstrated by assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparation and management of classroom activities.
• Provide administrative support under supervision of a certified teacher.
• Perform light clerical tasks and operate standard office equipment.
• Work with school-aged children in a supportive role.

Education:

• Must have completed at least two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education; or
• Obtained and associate's (or higher) degree; or

Ability to work well with school-aged children

Experience

Two years experience working with school-aged children
