Job summary

Clear Creek ISD, Clear Springs High School in League City, Texas, is seeking an Aide - SD to assist in a district specialized social development class. You will support identified students with instruction and behavioral interventions under teacher supervision.

Responsibilities include implementing positive and negative reinforcement, supervising time-out/isolations as needed, documenting data, preparing instructional materials, and maintaining student confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Educational Aide II certification required/preferred.
• Complete 48 college hours or pass Paraprofessional Exam.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with crisis training.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher by providing instruction and behavioral interventions for assigned students.
• Use safe procedures of physical intervention with acting-out students.
• Implement positive and negative reinforcement for student behaviors.
• Supervise time-out and/or isolation of students.
• Monitor and document data for student records.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials and routine records.
• Monitor students in settings outside the special education classroom.
• Maintain student confidentiality at all times.
• May supervise classroom activities in absence of teacher.
