Job Summary

Christ the King Catholic School is seeking a caring, dependable Preschool Classroom Aide to support teachers in creating a loving, nurturing, faith-filled learning environment for young children. The aide works closely with the classroom teacher to help students develop socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically, and academically through play-based and age-appropriate learning experiences.

At Christ the King Catholic School, preschool is more than preparation for kindergarten. It is a child’s introduction to a community of faith, learning, friendship, discovery, and belonging. The Preschool Classroom Aide plays a vital role in supporting teachers and helping children feel safe, known, loved, and valued each day.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare classroom materials, art projects, and learning resources.Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.Support student arrival, dismissal, and daily transitions.
• Communicate student observations and concerns to the classroom teacher.
• Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.Participate in required meetings, training, and professional development.

Job Requirements

• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, sit on the floor or child-sized furniture, participate in indoor and outdoor activities, assist children with personal needs, and lift or move classroom materials as needed.
