Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the daily schedule and assignments.
  • Assists students with any personal hygiene needs (e.g., toileting, diapering, dressing), as directed by the teacher.
  • Assists with implementing classroom and/or individual behavior management systems.
  • Provides for the care, well‑being, and supervision of students with disabilities under the direction of the teacher.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Summary: The Aide, Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Unique Needs position is grant‑funded and based on the needs of individual students and/or classrooms. In the event of a unit loss midyear or reassignment of the unit, the employee will receive proper notice to allow for a transfer into another position. The Aide, Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Unique Needs will assist school staff in the care and management of students with disabilities while at school under the direction and supervision of an immediate supervisor/supervising teacher, who evaluates performance through observation of work, critiques, and/or records and reports.
