Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of AIC service in an Army AIC operational experience.
• Previous AIC facility certificate required prior to employment.
• MUST BE A US CITIZEN.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the AIC facility.
• Present at daily synchronization meetings to brief government.
• Ensure operational readiness of facility equipment.
• Ensure operations comply with military, ICAO, and host nation rules and regulations.
• Gather, review, and verify TERPS data for the facility.
• Maintain readiness of facility equipment and associated NAVAIDs.
• Ensure controllers meet AR 40-501 physical standards and local requirements.
• Maintain current regulations, manuals, charts, maps, and training materials.
• Maintain custodial control of forms, records, and publications; ensure accuracy and distribution.
• Initiate and maintain a facility duty schedule.
• Conduct position qualification evaluations.
• Administer annual written exams and skill evaluations.

Job Summary

We are hiring an AIC Facility Chief to supervise and manage the Airspace Information Center (AIC) at Fort Bliss. This dedicated role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, equipment readiness, and effective airspace management for safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the AIC facility.
• Present at daily 0800 synchronization meetings to brief government on missions, exercises, and ATC safety issues.
• Interact with ATC Maintenance Branch for facility support.
• Ensure the facility operates according to military, ICAO, and host nation rules and regulations.
• Gather, review, and verify TERPS data associated with the facility.
• Ensure operational readiness of facility equipment and associated NAVAIDs.
• Ensure all controllers meet physical standards per AR 40-501 and local/host nation requirements.
• Maintain a current file of pertinent regulations, manuals, charts, maps, and training materials.
• Ensure assigned personnel maintain currency.
• Maintain custodial control of facility forms, records, and publications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and distribution.
• Initiate and maintain a facility duty schedule.
• Conduct position qualification evaluations.
• Administer annual written exams and conduct skill evaluations.

• Dedicated position, not combined with others or included in control schedules except for currency.
