Main Responsibilities
“ A Day in the Life ”
Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) is redefining cranial and spinal procedures to reduce variability and improve outcomes with the goal of restoring long-term quality of life for more patients. We are the first company to offer an integrated solution that includes data-driven surgical planning, personalized spinal implants, and robotic-assisted surgical delivery to make patient care more customized. The Solutions Consulting Specialist – Aible Clinic will join the Aible Clinic International Team reporting into Medtronic’s Enabling Technologies operating unit.
The role will be an integrated member of the Aible Clinic International team and, will be responsible for regional implementation and support of Aible Clinic technologies and services including the UNiD platform and patient-specific planning services and implants. The role will have three key areas of responsibility:
• Enable world class onboarding experience for new or returning customers
• Drive adoption by optimizing workflow efficiency
• Increase utilization through workflow and IT integration
Daily tasks may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
• Lead surgeon, staff, and sales through step-by-step implementation
process including solution design, execution, and customer success monitoring
• Discover and incorporate customer planning and technical needs and preferences for a tailored experience
• Identify bottlenecks and roadblocks limiting technology and service use, make
recommendations for changes and improvements, and implement agreed upon changes
• Promote opportunities for Medtronic technology integration into surgeon’s practice
• Work with customers, regional sales teams, and Aible Clinic team to determine long term goals by analyzing business in region and proposing strategies to drive adoption, increase utilization, and minimize effort for external and internal resources
• Support workflow facilitation through IT connectivity, with a focus on imaging and scheduling acquisition, by leading customer discussions and recruiting and managing resources as necessary
• Serve as team lead on functional unit or operating unit projects, or as team representation at national and regional conferences
• Establish self as primary regional point of contact for implementation and integration details for Aible Clinic products and services
• Perform and document activities in compliance with the Quality System, site rules, policies or governmental regulations
• Participation in ongoing professional development activities
Context and Environment
Aible Clinic technologies have been recently launched in Japan. Currently, one Aible Clinic Engineer is based remotely and attached to Osaka office to cover Japanese UNiD market and supported by International Aible Clinic based in France. Supervision of the International Aible clinic consultant is under International Aible Clinic management based in France. Communication with international colleagues and management will only be in English language.
According to profile and motivation, evolution to Aible Clinic Lab engineering responsibilities may be considered.
Qualifications
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
•Strong verbal skills, fluent in English, Japanese native speaker
•Bachelor’s or master degree in technical field (preferred in engineering)
•2+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 0+ years of experience with an advanced degree
•Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% of the time
•Willingness and ability to attend surgeries and cadaver labs
•Located in Japan area, or willing to relocate to the region.
Nice to Have
•Previous Medtronic experience or experience working in a medical setting
•Experience in spine or closely related field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience communicating technical information
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
•Experience with project and change management methodologies and application
•Experience with leveraging six sigma or lean principles to improve business or customer outcomes
•Experience implementing data solutions in a healthcare setting
• Driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn and apply complex concepts and tackle problems when an immediate solution is nonobvious
• Team player and ability to work independently under international supervision within multicultural environment
