Modern Family Law is seeking an AI Workflow Engineer/Automation Architect to design and implement AI-native legal workflows and automation systems. The role focuses on building the technical plumbing powering AI-enabled service delivery, workflow orchestration, and client automation across the firm’s technology ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in software engineering or related field.
• Deep experience in workflow automation, systems integration, and AI implementation.
• Production-grade Python with solid engineering practices (testing, code reviews, version control, CI/CD).
• Experience with orchestration frameworks, vector retrieval, and LLM observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled workflow orchestration systems across legal and operational processes.
• Develop integrations between AI platforms, CRMs, document automation, client portals, and internal tools.
• Build automation pipelines and event-driven workflows for intake, document generation, communications, routing, and escalation.
• Collaborate with knowledge engineers and product managers to translate workflows into scalable architectures.
• Implement API integrations across third-party and internal systems.
• Develop retrieval, prompt orchestration, and workflow execution for AI agents.
