Meta seeks Security Engineers with Trust & Safety expertise to advance AI-augmented safety across child safety, fraud, exploitation, and coordinated inauthentic behavior. You will leverage AI tools and expert judgment to build reliable detection and enforcement systems and investigate high-impact threats.

Candidates bring 5+ years in Trust & Safety or security investigations and hands-on engineering experience, with strengths in coding (PHP/Python/Java) and data analysis.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• OR PhD + 2 years of hands-on engineering experience
• Demonstrated depth in at least one abuse domain: child safety, fraud and scams, violent extremism, or coordinated inauthentic behavior
• Experience building detection or evaluation systems in an abuse domain
• Experience analyzing large-scale data and SQL to identify patterns of adversarial behavior
• Experience investigating high-impact online threats and actors
• Experience coding in PHP, Python, or Java
• Demonstrated AI skill development and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Responsabilités

• Apply domain expertise in online abuse and adversarial behavior across child safety, exploitation, fraud, extortion, violence, and coordinated inauthentic behavior
• Develop and improve detection, enforcement, or evaluation systems in abuse domains
• Analyze large-scale data to identify adversarial patterns and trends
• Investigate high-impact threats and threat actors and translate findings into policy implementations
• Collaborate with Trust & Safety teams and AI researchers to advance AI-assisted safety measures
• Demonstrate ongoing AI skill development (prompt engineering, agent orchestration) and responsible AI practices
