Job summary

Artefact is seeking an AI & Data Consulting Manager in NYC who can run projects end‑to‑end, mentor teams, grow client relationships, and deliver production‑ready AI solutions. You will prototype with AI tools, structure plans, and translate client needs into strategic data and AI recommendations while maintaining Artefact’s quality bar and client satisfaction.

This role requires 5–7 years of client‑facing experience, strong communication, and hands‑on AI literacy across major ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of full‑time, client‑facing work experience in consulting, technology, or related field.
• Proven experience managing projects and small teams autonomously in a client environment.
• Demonstrated AI literacy as a builder: daily use of AI tools and prototyping with agentic coding tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects end to end: structure sub‑streams, distribute work, set team OKRs, and provide sponsors clear visibility.
• Build robust plans that anticipate deadlines, delays, and risks and communicate them early.
• Structure mission deliverables and write executive summaries with partner support.
• Maintain Artefact's quality bar on all outputs from the team.
• Prototype with AI tools to test feasibility and make ideas tangible for workshops and steering committees.
• Define client needs via interviews and translate into strategic data/AI recommendations.
• Understand context engineering to shape how clients connect AI to data, documents and systems.
