Job summary

SAP iXp Intern - AI Technical Program Manager in Palo Alto is a paid internship building core AI capabilities and coordinating ML projects. You will work with ML engineers, data teams, and product managers to align goals and track progress.

You’ll gain mentorship from senior AI leaders and hands-on experience shaping AI products from concept to deployment, with exposure to enterprise-scale SAP initiatives and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (CS/Engineering/Data Science).
• Solid AI/ML concepts understanding (supervised/unsupervised, LLMs, GenAI).
• Experience with data analytics concepts and BI reporting.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain AI topics to non-technical audiences.
• Leadership in university clubs or hackathons.
• Experience building applications using Agentic engineering tools like Claude Code.
• Previous internship or project work in ML/DS/AI infrastructure.
• Knowledge of AI ecosystem: LangChain, GCP/AWS/Azure.
• Awareness of data privacy and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• AI Lifecycle Coordination: drive ML projects through data collection, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: connect ML engineers, software engineers, product managers, and data teams.
• Project Tracking: monitor milestones, datasets, metrics, and latency goals.
• Risk Mitigation: identify bottlenecks and elevate issues to senior TPMs or leads.
• Process Improvement: suggest workflows for data handoffs and model iterations.
• Documentation: maintain project wikis, status reports, model cards, and data dictionaries.
• Build reports: create updates for SAP leadership.
