Vanderbilt University’s Vanderbilt Policy Accelerator seeks an AI and Technology Policy Analyst to conduct research, policy writing, and program support within the AI and Tech Policy workstream. The role involves advancing accountability, competition, and public interest governance in AI and digital technology, and supporting policy impact through proposals and public narratives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree is necessary.
• Advanced degree in public policy, law, computer science, science and technology studies, or a related field is preferred.
• Five years of experience is necessary; experience in AI/tech policy areas preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate maturity, creativity, and initiative.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Relocation to Nashville, TN or Washington, DC is necessary.

Responsabilités

• Produce research, white papers, policy briefs, and policy communications.
• Evaluate AI/tech policy challenges with the Director to implement a comprehensive agenda.
• Research regulation and public provision of AI and digital infrastructure across actors.
• Draft and support white papers and policy products for release by VPA.
• Fact-check and copyedit white papers and policy products.
• Manage programming and public events, including conferences and stakeholder briefings.
• Support public relations, media, and internal/external communications.
