Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Applied AI professional to build AI teammate capabilities in the Humorphic Lab and deploy them into the Applied AI Solutions product team. You will own adoption, run experiments, and iterate from thesis to shipped product, collaborating with UX designers, product teams, and other organizations to deliver humorphic experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new/existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software language.
• Experience with full software development life cycle including code reviews, SCM, testing, and operations.
• Experience building complex software systems delivered to customers.

Responsibilities

• Build AI teammate capabilities in the Lab and drive them to a product.
• Implement experiments and turn research results into working software.
• Deploy into a product team and drive capability adoption.
• Own adoption, measure, report, and ensure customers use it.
• Identify and fix breakdowns in a host team's handoff rather than symptoms.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product teams, and other groups to deliver full humorphic experiences.
• Transfer architecture and scaling to the product team with solid docs and tests.
• Contribute work back into the shared humorphic layer for future capabilities.
• Learn unfamiliar languages and runtimes as needed.
• Write tested code, review others’ code, and operate Lab systems.
• Present work to host team, Lab, and SCORE, and participate in reviews.
