Job summary

The American College of Cardiology in Washington, DC seeks an Analyst for AI Implementation & Data Science to blend technical depth with a mission-driven approach. You will deliver AI-powered experiences, build data-driven insights, and work across ACC touchpoints to improve member value.

You will lead pilots, collaborate with IT and data leadership, and promote responsible AI while translating complex analytics into practical business outcomes for diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, epidemiology, public health, or related field.
• 5+ years of applied experience in data science, machine learning, business analysis, or quantitative analysis.
• Experience working in AI tools, such as Claude, ChatGPT, etc.
• Knowledge of data architecture and related tools (Python and/or R, SQL) for prototyping purposes.
• Experience working within digital platforms (CMS, CRM, or content ecosystems).
• Solid foundation in statistics, machine learning and LLM, with the judgment to choose appropriate methods and communicate their limitations honestly.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
• Ability to translate technical work into clear language for non-technical audiences.
• A strong understanding of data privacy and ethics, and the discretion to handle sensitive information responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-3 “wins” a year by identifying use cases to leverage data, platforms, and AI tools to improve digital user experience and staff efficiency.
• Lead pilot initiatives and scale successful AI solutions that advance digital experience and member value.
• Assess platform capabilities (e.g. Salesforce, SitecoreAI, Oasis) and internal AI tools with data to deliver personalized experiences.
• Document data requirements to achieve personalized learning pathways and integrated profiles across ACC platforms.
• Collaborate with IT and the Chief Data Officer to ensure clean, integrated data across systems.
• Support marketing automation capabilities and educate staff on AI capabilities.
