Job summary

Groq, Inc. is seeking a Storage Engineer, Deployment & Support to deploy, validate, and operate storage infrastructure behind Groq's global AI infrastructure. You will own bring-up, validation, performance acceptance, troubleshooting, and production handoff across datacenters.

You will work with Platform Engineering to ensure reliability and operability, owning end-to-end deployments, tooling development, and cross-team coordination to meet Groq standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of storage engineering experience in data center infrastructure.
• Hands-on with large-scale distributed storage environments.
• Proficient in Linux administration in production.
• Experience with modern storage platforms (VAST/WEKA/DDN/Lustre/Ceph).
• Strong knowledge of NFS, NFS over RDMA, NVMe-oF.
• Scripting: Python, Bash; Ansible or similar tooling.
• Willingness to travel to global datacenters.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and validate storage infrastructure across Groq datacenters and AI workloads.
• Configure storage systems per approved designs, including cluster initialization and interfaces.
• Lead end-to-end deployment, coordinating technicians and vendors for rack/installation and handoff.
• Develop procedures, validation plans, deployment checklists, and runbooks.
• Perform storage acceptance tests: throughput, IOPS, latency, capacity, health checks.
