Job summary

Waites Sensor Technologies Inc is seeking an AI Solutions Lead to become the organization’s first dedicated AI expert on the Information Technology team. The role will translate business needs into practical AI use cases, manage end-to-end AI initiatives, and establish governance and evaluation of emerging technologies.

Reporting to the IT Manager, the position emphasizes hands-on solutioning and collaboration across departments in Cincinnati, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into practical AI use cases.
• Experience reading code across common languages and assessing solution quality.

Responsibilities

• Own intake, prioritization, and roadmap for internal AI initiatives.
• Establish governance, data-handling rules, and responsible-use standards.
• Run proofs-of-concept and pilots to validate value before broad adoption.
• Translate ambiguous requests into scoped, achievable AI use cases.
• Train and upskill staff on approved AI tools and practices.
• Collaborate with IT Manager and vendors on spend and policy.
