Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer specializing in AI delivery for the insurance industry. You will lead engagements from discovery to production, translating underwriting and claims challenges into production-ready AI products using Google Cloud technologies.

This role emphasizes rapid prototyping, executive-facing collaboration, and reusable accelerators. Location in Hartford, CT (3 days per week from office).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in solution engineering, AI engineering, forward-deployed engineering, consulting, or enterprise app development in client-facing roles.
• Hands-on GenAI and Agentic AI solutions using Google Cloud technologies (Vertex AI, Gemini, BigQuery, etc.).
• Strong LLM design, prompt engineering, agent orchestration, RAG, evaluation, and AI governance.
• Experience designing and integrating enterprise apps, APIs, data platforms, and workflows.
• Excellent business consulting and communication skills with execs and SMEs.
• Proven rapid prototyping and iteration from concept to working demos in days.
• Comfortable in ambiguous environments with action- and outcome-bias.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements from discovery through production deployment.
• Translate underwriting, claims, pricing, distribution, and servicing challenges into AI products.
• Contribute reusable accelerators and best practices across engagements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Drive rapid prototyping and demonstrations to stakeholders.
