Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an AI Portfolio & Cybersecurity Engineer to manage the enterprise AI portfolio and strengthen cyber resilience. You will coordinate governance, design secure AI/LLM solutions, and lead vulnerability management, incident response, and regulatory compliance efforts.

The role requires 3–5 years in cybersecurity or IT engineering, familiarity with AI technologies, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to deliver secure, measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in cybersecurity, IT, CS, engineering, data science, or related field.
• 3–5 years in cybersecurity, IT engineering, AI solutions, or similar technical role.
• Experience implementing or supporting cybersecurity technologies and enterprise IT systems.
• Working knowledge of AI technologies, LLMs, automation, APIs, cloud platforms, and secure development practices.
• Experience with projects/portfolios: requirements, tracking, risk, stakeholder coordination, executive reporting.
• Hands-on cybersecurity disciplines: vulnerability management, incident response, security operations, or governance, risk, and compliance.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and AI governance frameworks, data protection principles.
• Relevant certifications (Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CISSP assoc., cloud, PM, or AI credentials) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate enterprise AI portfolio and governance.
• Coordinate AI business-use-case intake, prioritization, and lifecycle processes.
• Track project schedules, milestones, risks, and value realization.
• Prepare AI portfolio dashboards, reports, and executive updates.
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, Legal, HR, and business units to translate needs into secure AI solutions.
• Support design, build, test, integration, and deployment of AI/LLM solutions.
• Evaluate AI platforms for security, scalability, and business fit.
• Apply AI governance requirements including data protection and regulatory compliance.
• Engineer and maintain cybersecurity tools and supporting technologies.
• Develop automation and AI-driven workflows to improve cybersecurity operations.
• Support vulnerability management, incident response, and governance activities.
• Monitor emerging AI security threats and regulatory trends.
• Create technical docs, procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Promote secure, responsible AI adoption through stakeholder engagement and training.
