Job summary

HARMAN in Novi, MI seeks a Solution Architect / Agent Builder (P4) to lead design of AI-powered business solutions. You will translate opportunities into scalable architectures, create reusable blueprints, and guide cross-functional teams across product, platform, and engineering groups.

As a Solution Architect / Agent Builder (P4), you will serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, architecting, and enabling AI-powered business solutions across HARMAN. You will translate business opportunities into scalable technical designs, develop reusable solution blueprints, and provide architectural guidance for AI applications, intelligent agents, and workflow automation initiatives. This role combines solution architecture, AI application design, and hands-on technical leadership to accelerate the delivery of enterprise AI use cases. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, platform teams, and developers to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Your Team

You will be a senior individual contributor partnering with business stakeholders, product owners, AI platform teams, enterprise architects, developers, and data engineers to shape use cases, define solution architectures, and deliver reusable AI solution patterns across the organization.
What You Will Do

• Design end-to-end solution architectures for AI-powered applications, intelligent agents, copilots, and workflow automation solutions.
• Support the creation and maintenance of reusable solution blueprints, reference implementations, and domain-specific solution patterns.
• Partner with business stakeholders to shape use cases, assess feasibility, define requirements, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Conduct technical reviews and architecture assessments to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and platform capabilities.
• Define integration designs connecting AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, and business workflows.
• Collaborate with platform, architecture, security, and engineering teams to drive adoption of reusable patterns and best practices.
• Develop proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and reference solutions that accelerate delivery and reduce implementation risk.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams throughout the solution lifecycle, from design through deployment and operationalization.
• Identify opportunities for workflow automation, AI-driven process improvements, and reusable solution components across business domains.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and architectural approaches to improve enterprise solution capabilities.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, with 6+ years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, application development, or related disciplines.
• Strong expertise in designing and delivering AI-enabled applications, LLM-powered solutions, workflow automation, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, data engineering, cloud platforms, and modern software delivery practices.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architectures and reusable solution patterns.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive solution delivery across multiple teams and functions.
• Experience with AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering, and enterprise AI platforms.

What is Nice to Have

• Certifications in cloud technologies, enterprise architecture, AI technologies, Agile, or software development disciplines.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, AWS AI/ML services, or similar enterprise AI ecosystems.
• Experience working in global, matrixed organizations delivering complex digital, AI, or business transformation initiatives.

Salary Ranges:

$ 125,250 - $ 183,700
