Job description

Expedient is seeking an AI Solution Specialist to serve as the company's foremost expert and evangelist for AI CTRL, Expedient's enterprise AI platform. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role at the intersection of technical product expertise, sales enablement, and client strategy.

The primary role of the AI Solution Specialist is to support the Solutions Architecture team when opportunities demand deep product knowledge, complex solution design, or an authoritative voice in front of clients and prospects. Beyond direct sales support, this individual shapes how the entire organization understands and sells AI CTRL — building training programs, driving field feedback into the product roadmap, and representing Expedient at industry events.

The ideal candidate brings advanced, hands‑on knowledge of AI technologies — conversational AI, data integration, workflow automation, and agentic systems — paired with the presence and communication skills to engage any audience, from enterprise CIOs to developer communities.

Expedient is a managed infrastructure and cloud services provider helping businesses transform their IT operations through hybrid cloud, infrastructure modernization, and increasingly through applied AI. Expedient occupies a unique position between infrastructure operations and applied AI delivery. We hold ourselves to a clear set of values that show up in how we work every day: we exhibit passion, embrace teamwork, demonstrate accountability, show adaptability, and stay focused on results. If that sounds like the kind of team you want to build with, we would love to hear from you.

What you'll do:
  • Engage as a subject matter expert alongside the Solutions Architecture team on complex, strategic, or non‑standard AI CTRL opportunities across the sales cycle.
  • Design and articulate tailored AI CTRL solutions that address specific client business challenges, translating advanced capabilities into clear, compelling business outcomes.
  • Deliver high‑impact technical presentations and live product demonstrations for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Lead or support proof‑of‑concept engagements by responding to detailed product and integration questions, defining success criteria and validating technical feasibility.
  • Contribute to proposals, RFPs, and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, differentiation, and a client‑centered narrative.
  • Develop and deliver structured product training programs for internal sellers, solution architects, and channel partners.
  • Create enablement assets including playbooks, demo scripts, competitive comparison guides, and technical reference materials.
  • Maintain an ongoing cadence of informal knowledge sharing — lunch‑and‑learns, Slack updates, release briefings — to keep the field current on AI CTRL capabilities.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning around AI innovation across the Expedient organization.
  • Serve as a primary internal and external evangelist for AI CTRL, representing Expedient with credibility and enthusiasm.
  • Present at industry conferences, partner events, webinars, and customer forums in front of diverse audiences.
  • Produce thought leadership content — blog posts, white papers, case study contributions — that positions Expedient at the forefront of enterprise AI.
  • Build and maintain Expedient's reputation in the AI community through consistent, authentic engagement.
  • Serve as the main bridge between field teams and product, gathering and synthesizing client and prospect feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with the AI CTRL product team to ensure customer insights drive roadmap prioritization and feature development.
  • Stay in continuous sync with the product team on new features, releases, and capability updates — then rapidly translate that knowledge into training and field enablement.
  • Influence product strategy by advocating for customer needs with data, real‑world use cases, and market perspective.
  • Serve as a key liaison between clients, sales, solutions architecture, and the implementation team following contract execution.
  • Ensure client expectations are accurately set during the sales process and remain aligned through handoff to delivery.
  • Review and vet Statements of Work (SOWs) and pricing structures to confirm technical accuracy and appropriate scope.
  • Validate work estimates and confirm that delivery commitments are realistic and achievable before they reach the client.
  • Partner with implementation teams to ensure a smooth, confidence‑building transition from sale to delivery.
What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; OR equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong technical acumen.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical pre‑sales, solutions engineering, product management, or product specialist role.
  • Demonstrated track record supporting enterprise technology sales cycles involving AI, cloud, or complex SaaS solutions.
  • Prior experience developing and delivering technical training, enablement programs, or workshops for diverse audiences.
  • Experience presenting at external events, conferences, or in customer‑facing settings as product advocate or thought leader.
  • Familiarity with SOW development, professional services scoping, and pre‑to‑post sales handoff processes.
  • Advanced working knowledge of AI technologies including conversational AI and large language models (LLMs), data integration and ETL pipelines, workflow automation, and agentic AI systems and orchestration.
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise cloud architecture.
  • Understanding of APIs, system integration patterns, and enterprise security and compliance considerations.
  • Ability to engage credibly in both high‑level architecture discussions and detailed technical implementation conversations.
Location:

Hybrid role requiring in‑office collaboration with travel to other Expedient markets as needed for collaboration and training. Preferred markets include Boston, Baltimore, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Memphis, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh.

Compensation:

Base salary between $125,000 and $150,000 per year. Total Estimated Compensation (Base + Variable compensation) $200,000 to $250,000.
