Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking a lead software developer – AI for a remote role based in the United States. You will shape AI in the SDLC, influence strategy, and advance Maestro, Progressive's internal AI-native platform for software development, delivering enterprise-scale capabilities for engineering teams.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, strong engineering practices, and mentorship of other engineers to scale AI across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or related field and minimum six years designing, programming, and supporting software
• In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED with a technical training program and six years related experience
• In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED with eight years related experience designing, programming, and supporting software

Responsibilities

• Shape the future of AI in software development at Progressive.
• Build and advance Maestro, Progressive's internal AI-native platform for software development.
• Influence SDLC strategy and enable enterprise-scale AI solutions across engineering teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to implement AI-enabled software across the organization.
