Job summary

ClearBridge Investments is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to cover AI and Software, joining its New York-based fundamental research team. You will conduct bottom-up analysis to identify mispriced securities and generate stock ideas for portfolios.

This role requires 5–10 years in buy-side equity research, strong modeling/valuation skills, MBA and/or CFA is a plus, and the ability to travel. Based in New York City with competitive compensation and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of buy-side equity research experience.
• Experience analyzing AI and Software companies.
• MBA and/or CFA a plus.
• Ability to dissect and value business models.
• Strong analytical skills and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to evaluate opportunities and communicate conclusions.
• Ability to collaborate and work independently.
• Buyside experience preferred and willingness to travel.
• US work eligibility without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence within the Software and AI sectors.
• Attend and/or lead company management meetings.
• Dissect and project financials; perform valuation analysis.
• Synthesize data to generate investment ideas or recommendations.
• Maintain current views on securities held in portfolios.
• Communicate key findings to PM teams to drive alpha.
• Serve as the expert on designated areas of concentration.
• Evaluate ESG risks and opportunities.
