PMG seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive backend development for Alli, a cloud-based AI-powered marketing platform. You will lead design, build scalable features, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product and design teams to deliver impactful solutions.

The role emphasizes building reliable systems, deploying with CI/CD, and advancing to production with modern tech in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development with NodeJS, Python, or Go; degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years with ExpressJS, Django, or Flask.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on across all SDLC stages; mentoring engineers.
• Strong databases experience: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, MySQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable features in the Alli suite.
• Draft and implement architectural designs for reliable systems.
• Collaborate with PMs, Designers, and cross-functional teams on AI-driven solutions.
• Build scalable products that deliver measurable client results.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the design, development, and deployment of innovative, scalable features within the Alli suite of applications.
• Drafting and implementing architectural designs to produce reliable, complex, and highly scalable technical solutions.
• Working closely with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions that improve performance and drive business outcomes.
• Building scalable products that drive measurable results for our clients.
• Fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation by mentoring junior and mid-level engineers and promoting development best practices.
• Conducting coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting across the application development lifecycle.
• Conducting code reviews and providing fellow backend engineers critical feedback to ensure high-quality, maintainable code across Alli.
• Pioneering development in state-of-the-art technologies that transform the marketing technology space.

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of backend development experience with NodeJS or Python or Go and a strong focus on building scalable, high-performance systems, or a related field, with a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience. We are also open to Frontend specific experience.
• 3+ years working with modern backend frameworks such as ExpressJS, Django or Flask.
• Proven experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Hands‑on experience working across all stages of software development, including requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation, and support.
• Experience mentoring and guiding engineers to achieve technical excellence.
• Advanced skills in working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or MySQL, including query optimization and schema design.
• Familiarity with AI technologies like OpenAI, Bedrock, Vertex, and LangChain to explore and implement innovative backend solutions.
• Experience with version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployments.
• Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Ansible to manage infrastructure efficiently.
• Hands‑on experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack for performance optimization and issue resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
• A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a passion for creating reliable and impactful backend systems.
