Job description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Callibrity. We are currently looking for an AI Software Engineer in United States.

This role offers the chance to lead by example, acting as both a subject matter expert and a hands-on engineer, while driving innovative AI-driven solutions. You will work closely with clients and stakeholders to design and deliver impactful products that leverage the latest in cloud, AI, and machine learning technologies. The position involves creating scalable applications, building robust APIs, and guiding best practices in development and deployment. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, with opportunities to mentor peers, shape technical strategy, and solve complex challenges. If you are motivated by cutting-edge technology and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment, this role is designed for you.

Accountabilities:
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs in Python (FastAPI) to serve AI models and integrations.
  • Build intelligent features using Azure AI services, including Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and Azure OpenAI.
  • Deploy scalable applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure App Service.
  • Partner with product owners, designers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Implement secure, maintainable, and testable cloud-based applications, following best practices in observability and reliability.
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps for efficient deployments.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical leadership and strategic guidance.
  • Mentor and upskill peers and client teams, promoting Agile, DevOps, TDD, and CI/CD practices.
  • Explore and evaluate emerging technologies across AI, ML, Cloud, and IoT.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in Python with production-level experience building APIs, ideally using FastAPI.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure AI services (Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, OpenAI).
  • Proven ability to deploy applications in Azure cloud environments.
  • Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform or ARM templates a plus).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas.
  • Preferred: experience with MLOps or data engineering, integrating ML workflows into production.
  • Preferred: familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React) for full-stack contributions.
Benefits
  • Competitive industry salary.
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance effective from day one.
  • 401k match with immediate vesting.
  • Profit sharing bonus program.
  • $1500 annual professional development stipend.
  • Quarterly event stipend for team-led activities.
  • Paid parental leave, vacation (2–5 weeks depending on level), holidays, and bench time.
  • Paid flex time for training, blogging, speaking engagements, and thought leadership.
  • Opportunities for “lunch and learns” and team-building events.
  • Work-life balance with a small company feel and high employee retention.
  • Recognition as one of Cincinnati’s Best Places to Work.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
