Job summary

IBM is offering an internship in Austin, TX, where you’ll contribute to AI solutions on IBM Cloud with the AI Center of Excellence. You’ll design, implement, and test AI applications, collaborating with engineers, designers, and managers to deliver impactful, scalable software.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge models, containerization, and modern cloud practices. You’ll work on real projects, participate in agile ceremonies, and develop strong technical and communication skills

Qualifications

• Experience as a full stack developer with a focus in AI and backend languages (Node.js, Python, Java).
• Web technologies: HTTP, REST, JSON, HTML, Ajax, JavaScript; familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face, OpenAI API).
• Understanding of LLM prompt engineering and RAG techniques.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines for development workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test AI applications and services.
• Write clean, well‑documented code following best practices.
• Follow security best practices to meet IBM policies and industry standards.
• Communicate progress and decisions to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and sprint activities.
• Collaborate with account managers, UX/UI designers, architects, and other developers.
• Stay updated on trends in generative AI and IBM Cloud services.
