Job summary

IBM is seeking an AI Software Engineer in Austin to design, develop, and implement advanced AI solutions using IBM’s Watsonx platform. You will build scalable applications on IBM Cloud, collaborating with product specialists and other developers to deliver impactful AI components.

Responsibilities include designing AI services, writing robust code, and ensuring security and performance. Experience with AI/LLM tech and cloud-native architectures is valued, along with strong English communication

Qualifications

• Experience as a full stack developer with a focus in AI and backend technologies including Node.js, Python, Java.
• Understanding of LLM prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for efficient development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test AI applications and services.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code following best practices.
• Follow security best practices to meet IBM policies and industry standards.
• Communicate progress and technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprints.
