Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a software engineer to design, develop and deploy software applications and AI-enabled solutions in a fast-paced team. You will contribute to scalable backend services, APIs, and data-driven apps while collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

The role involves AI/ML solution development, integration, testing, and documentation, plus adherence to secure coding, CI/CD, and modern cloud practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Fundamentals of data structures, algorithms, and OOP.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Interest in AI, software engineering, data engineering or emerging tech.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, testing and deployment of software applications and AI-enabled solutions.
• Support scalable backend services, APIs and data-driven applications.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in AI and ML solution development, integration, testing and documentation.
• Work with cloud platforms and modern tools to support application delivery.
• Contribute to Agile development activities including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve defects during development and QA cycles.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides and engineering artifacts.
• Learn and apply software engineering best practices including secure coding, version control, testing and CI/CD.
• Stay current with Generative AI, ML, cloud computing and modern software practices.
