HII in Newport News, VA is looking for an experienced AI-enabled applications engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain backend services and REST APIs that integrate AI models and enterprise data systems. You will build ML CI/CD pipelines and deployment infrastructure, while ensuring secure, scalable, and well-monitored machine learning operations across cloud and on-prem environments.

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI-enabled applications and backend services, including REST APIs that integrate AI models, large language models, and enterprise data systems. Build and maintain ML CI/CD pipelines and deployment infrastructure, while supporting secure, reliable, scalable, and well-monitored machine learning operations.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five years of relevant exempt experience, or an accepted equivalent education and experience combination. Candidates should have strong Python and REST API skills, experience with software architecture, cloud development, Git, and automated testing, and practical familiarity with AI/ML and LLM integration.
