Job summary

Allstate Insurance Company is seeking a passionate Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You will build scalable backend systems and integrate cutting-edge Generative AI capabilities into enterprise applications.

You’ll work with Java Spring Boot or Python, design microservices, and deploy AI models using LangChain, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure. 4+ years of backend experience and strong API skills are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend development experience using Java Spring Boot or Python.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with Generative AI APIs and/or open-source models.
• Experience with LangChain, LLM orchestration, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, embedding models, or vector databases.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks like React or Angular (nice to have).

Responsibilities
