Job summary

Murata Electronics in the United States is seeking an AI Server Marketing Engineer to bridge technology and market momentum. You will analyze data center architectures, track interconnect innovations, and translate trends into product requirements.

This role collaborates with engineering and product teams, presents technical insights to stakeholders, and helps shape Murata's server and networking roadmaps. A strong background in electrical/optical engineering and data center experience is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in technology development, technical marketing, systems engineering, application engineering, or business development.
• Experience in data center networking, optical communications, high-speed interconnects, network semiconductors, servers, or AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Analyze AI data center server and network architectures.
• Track developments in interconnect technologies (Ethernet, InfiniBand, PCIe, CXL, SerDes, retimers, cables) and optical engines.
• Evaluate signal integrity, optical loss, bandwidth density, energy efficiency, EMI, thermal performance, and reliability.
• Track industry standards, ecosystem activities, and competitive developments.
• Identify opportunities for Murata technologies in server packages and interconnects.
• Translate customer and market trends into product requirements and development priorities.
• Develop technical value propositions, competitive analysis, market sizing, and business recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support product marketing and roadmaps.
• Conduct technical discussions with hyperscalers, semiconductor companies, server and network equipment manufacturers, and optical ecosystem partners.
• Understand customer roadmaps, design challenges, qualification requirements, and development schedules.
• Present technology trends, customer requirements, and strategic recommendations.
• Develop technical presentations, market reports, customer proposals, and sales-enablement materials.
• Influence internal teams and customers through workshops, conferences and other venues.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

Market and Technology Intelligence

• Analyze AI data center server and network architectures.
• Track developments in various interconnect technologies such as Ethernet, InfiniBand, PCIe, CXL, SerDes, retimers, cables, connectors, and optical engines - including Pluggables, CPO, NPO etc.
• Evaluate key challenges including signal integrity, optical loss, bandwidth density, energy efficiency, EMI, thermal performance, and reliability.
• Track relevant industry standards, ecosystem activities, and competitive developments.

Market Opportunity and Product Strategy

• Identify opportunities for Murata technologies in Server packages, boards and intra and inter rack interconnects.
• Translate customer and market trends into product requirements and development priorities.
• Develop technical value propositions, competitive analysis, market sizing, and business recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support product marketing as as well as further product roadmaps.

Customer and Technical Marketing

• Conduct technical discussions with hyperscalers, semiconductor companies, server and network equipment manufacturers, and optical ecosystem partners.
• Understand customer roadmaps, design challenges, qualification requirements, and development schedules.
• Present technology trends, customer requirements, and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Develop technical presentations, market reports, customer proposals, and sales-enablement materials.
• Influence internal team and customers through customer workshops, conferences and other possible venues.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 3+years of experiencein technology development, technical marketing, systems engineering, application engineering, or business development.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience in data center networking, optical communications, high-speed interconnects, network semiconductors, servers, or AI infrastructure.
• Experience working with customers, engineering teams, and product organizations.
• Master’s or PhD in an engineering related field.

• Frequent domestic travel and occasional international travel.

California Salary depending on location.

Minimum Salary: $81,578

Maximum Salary: $135,215
