Job summary

Gopher Sport, a long-established PE, sports, and fitness equipment company, seeks an experienced copywriter with SEO/AI expertise to drive digital content plans and site discoverability. This full-time, in-person role in Owatonna, MN focuses on creating and optimizing content across brand websites and AI-driven channels.

You will collaborate with the Digital Presence Team to improve search visibility, track performance, and push content into production with high quality standards.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Marketing, English, or related degree; digital marketing coursework preferred.
• SEO/GEO initiatives with track record of performance improvement.
• Proven experience creating useful, highly discoverable web content.
• Experience with Excel low-to-mid level functions (XLOOKUP, PowerPivot).
• Experience in a B2B marketing/advertising department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Producing New Web Content: research topics, create authoritative content, format for discoverability, and publish on time.
• Improving Existing Content: manage existing pages, run experiments to boost engagement and traffic.
• Monitoring Content Performance and Appearance: track brand presence in search/AI results and ensure correct content.
• Managing Technical SEO: optimize technical site elements and monitor performance metrics.
• Publishing Reporting: deliver clear reporting on production and performance.
