Job summary

Agile Defense, LLC in Reston, VA seeks an Artificial Intelligence Subject Matter Expert to lead AI integration within the Security Operations Center, turning cutting-edge AI into actionable threat detection and cyber defense.

This role requires 5+ years in ML/AI, TS clearance, hands-on with LLMs and MLOps, plus strong Python production skills, to deliver testing, evaluation, and remediation planning across AI-driven security programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in ML/DS/AI engineering; 2+ years focused on Generative AI and LLMs.
• Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
• Hands-on with LLM frameworks, vector databases, and prompt engineering.
• Advanced Python and production-grade software development.
• ML/Ops and cloud AI platforms: Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI.
• Proven track record taking AI solutions from PoC to production.
• Experience assessing cyber risk and AI functionality.
• Experience automating AI into cyber programs.
• Experience with data analytic software (Splunk, Cribl, Elastic, Sentinel).

Responsibilities

• Deliver support services related to testing, reporting, and assessing AI applications.
• Conduct operational testing and evaluation of AI to determine gaps and vulnerabilities.
• Review cyber defense posture and assist in protective measures against AI threats.
• Provide SOPs, testing plans, and reports with actionable remediation recommendations.
