Janus Henderson is seeking a hands-on AI Security Engineer to secure AI-enabled applications, models, agents, and platforms across the full lifecycle. Onsite in Denver, CO, within the Office of the CISO, you will define secure-by-design practices for AI at the firm, with protections implemented as code and measurable security outcomes.

• Hands-on cybersecurity background with production-grade security protections.
• Experience securing GenAI/LLM and AI-enabled solutions.
• Ability to lead threat modelling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments.
• Experience with AI security standards and governance controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as security design authority for AI systems and assess risks.
• Define and evolve AI security standards and guardrails.
• Design identity and secrets patterns for non-human identities.
• Establish trust boundaries and data-egress controls for AI estate.
• Run adversarial testing and AI red teaming.
• Develop detections, analytics, and telemetry for AI abuse.
• Support security incident response for AI systems.
• Own security testing across AI delivery lifecycle.
• Co-own risk-based security gates for onboarding AI products.
• Help determine Copilot features release with necessary controls.
• Support Risk and Internal Audit with security evidence.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation.
• Define and report KPIs and KRIs.
• Mentor security engineers on AI security.
