Job summary

CARE in Atlanta, GA is seeking an AI Security Engineer to safeguard CARE's AI systems, ML pipelines, and agentic deployments across enterprise platforms. You will embed security into the AI development lifecycle, align with NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 42001, and lead threat modeling and incident response for AI risks.

The position collaborates with IT, data, legal, and program teams to ensure responsible, secure AI adoption in support of CARE's humanitarian mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity engineering or application security.
• Hands-on LLM security experience with prompt injection and adversarial testing.
• Experience securing Microsoft 365 Copilot and Anthropic Claude enterprise deployments.
• Proficiency in Python for security tooling.
• Knowledge of NIST AI RMF, OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS, ISO/IEC 42001.

Responsibilities

• AI System Security & Threat Assessment: Assess and harden AI/ML models, APIs, and endpoints against adversarial attacks.
• Security Architecture & Enterprise AI Integration: Design and enforce least-privilege access controls; secure data handling practices.
• AI Governance & Compliance: Develop security policies and risk frameworks; support audits and leadership.
• Incident Response & Security Awareness: Lead or support AI security incident response; develop playbooks and training.
