Job summary

SIXT in the United States is seeking an AI Security Engineer to shape how the organization understands, assesses and secures AI usage across our data and systems. In this builder role, you will define safe usage, develop detections and controls, and work with cross-functional teams to implement responsible AI at global scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience in security engineering and practical risk assessments.
• Knowledge of AI-specific threats and modern AI architectures.

Responsibilities

• Assess AI tooling and AI-built applications, identifying security risks and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Author remediation policies and automate enforcement to minimize manual review.
• Partner with teams to steer AI tool usage toward secure approaches and make risk-based decisions.
• Define healthy AI usage baselines and track KPIs showing risk reduction over time.
• Respond to AI-related security incidents and improve governance controls with engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Legal and Data Protection to align with EU AI Act, GDPR, and evolving regulations.
