Job summary

Precise Software Solutions, Inc. seeks an AI Security Engineer to secure AI-enabled applications for the U.S. Government.

Lead security and compliance through ATO, adversarial testing, red teaming, and supply chain risk management. On-site 3x per week in the Washington, DC area, with background checks and strong federal security experience. The role requires 8+ years in cybersecurity, 1+ year in AI/ML security, and cloud security in FedRAMP environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience, including federal ATO efforts under NIST RMF/NIST SP 800-53 Moderate.
• 1+ year hands-on experience securing or testing AI/ML or Generative AI systems (LLMs, prompt-injection, threat modeling).
• Experience with cloud security in FedRAMP-authorized environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Support the NIST RMF ATO process for each AI system with documentation (SSP, SAR, POA&M).
• Plan and perform AI-specific adversarial testing and red teaming; track findings and remediation.
• Assemble AI security certification packages and ensure no High/Critical findings remain at release.
• Implement and verify security controls (Zero Trust, FIPS encryption, secrets management).
• Develop AI Incident Response Plan and Business Continuity Plan; assist incident triage and reporting.
