Ampcus Inc. is seeking an AI Senior Security Engineer in Jersey City, NJ (and options in Tampa, FL or Phoenix, AZ) to design, develop, and deploy autonomous AI agents for cybersecurity operations while ensuring guardrails, data privacy, and human oversight.

Responsibilities include building AI agents for autonomous incident investigation, prompt optimization, model integration via APIs, and cloud-native deployment with security best practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python data ingestion, cleaning, ML libraries, and system/web integrations.
• Proficiency with ML frameworks: Scikit-Learn, PyTorch.
• Experience with AI agent orchestration: LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGPT.
• Hands-on ML model development/tuning for cybersecurity use cases.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AI agents capable of multi-step reasoning and tool use to automate cybersecurity use cases.
• Develop prompt engineering solutions to optimize LLM outputs for reliable security logic and automated remediation.
• Use and fine-tune ML models to identify sophisticated attack patterns beyond signatures.
• Integrate LLMs from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source platforms via APIs or local deployments.
• Develop and optimize data ingestion pipelines with vector databases and AI-ready data processing.
• Audit workflows and re-engineer them with a machine-first approach using LLMs for data analysis.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI solutions in cloud-native environments with high availability and cost efficiency.
• Implement AI safety and security guardrails with human-in-the-loop checkpoints when required.
