Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a hands-on Security Architect to support AI and emerging tech initiatives. You will work with security architects to evaluate designs, identify risks, and develop secure architecture while guiding teams through security reviews.

The role requires strong experience in security architecture, cloud security (Azure preferred), and cross‑functional collaboration across engineering and security teams. The position is hybrid in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• Experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, engineering, or related discipline.
• Practical experience performing security architecture or security design reviews.
• Strong understanding of IAM, authentication/authorization, data protection, network/cloud security, API/app security, logging/monitoring, and secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Provide security architecture support for AI, cloud, SaaS, and emerging tech initiatives.
• Review solution architectures to identify security requirements and risks.
• Translate security policies into practical technical guidance.
• Develop and document secure architectures, diagrams, and patterns.
• Perform and support threat modeling and security design reviews.
• Evaluate IAM, authentication, data protection, network and API security, and observability considerations.
• Collaborate with engineering and cyber teams to resolve architecture questions.
• Document findings and track issues through resolution in governance processes.
• Develop reusable reference architectures and guardrails.
