Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an AI Security Architect in Cupertino to lead security guidance for high-risk AI initiatives. You will shape architecture patterns, perform design reviews, and build secure-by-default patterns that scale across Apple.

This role requires deep AI/ML risk knowledge, threat modeling expertise, and the ability to partner with engineering, data science, and product teams to accelerate secure AI adoption with scalable AI-powered guidance.

Qualifications

• BS in CS, CE, or Info Security, or 6+ years of equivalent security experience.
• Strong background in security architecture, application security, or cloud security.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts, pipelines, and risks (data poisoning, prompt injection, etc.).
• Experience with threat modeling methodologies (e.g., STRIDE) and secure design.
• Familiar with AI regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001).
• Proven ability to partner with engineering, data science, and product teams.
• Experience applying AI/LLMs for security automation (e.g., risk analysis, compliance).
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Swift, Java).
• Ability to communicate security concepts clearly to all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own security guidance for critical, high-risk AI initiatives across Apple.
• Shape architecture patterns and conduct design reviews for AI-driven environments.
• Translate expert decisions into AI-powered guidance at scale.
• Build secure-by-default, reusable patterns to accelerate AI projects.
• Reduce inbound requests through proactive foundational work and tooling.
• Provide developers and ML engineers with standardized controls and guidance.
• Evaluate risks such as data poisoning, prompt injection, and model inversion.
• Apply AI to security workflows to automate threat modeling and reviews.
• Scale security tooling to extend coverage beyond headcount.
