Job summary

RSM is seeking an AI Risk Senior Associate to help clients strengthen technology, AI, and cybersecurity risk capabilities. You will support risk assessments, model governance, and data governance for AI/GenAI systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will evaluate cloud controls, data protections, and regulatory expectations, contributing to governance frameworks and client deliverables that translate complex AI concepts into business risk language.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering/Data Science or related field.
• 2-5 years delivering technology solutions with AI/ML or GenAI exposure in regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of modern ML/GenAI stacks (Python, model development frameworks, embeddings, RAG).
• Hands-on contribution to model development, evaluation, or implementation.
• Experience assessing AI systems on cloud platforms (IAM, encryption, data governance).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: APIs, data pipelines, testing, version control, CI/CD exposure.
• Excellent communication to translate technical concepts into business risk language.

Responsibilities

• AI/ML risk assessments, including model lifecycle controls and data governance.
• Evaluate IT, cloud, and data environment controls (IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring).
• Contribute to model documentation, testing artifacts, lineage tracking, and change management for AI systems.
• Support assessments related to GenAI, automation, cloud-native architectures, and digital transformation.
• Apply understanding of APIs, data pipelines, testing, and version control to evaluate technical risk.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, cybersecurity, model risk, and audit teams across defense lines.
• Prepare documentation and stakeholder-ready reporting that translates complex AI concepts into risk language.
