Job summary

Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking a Software Developer 2 to build AI research tools for the NHLBI AI Data Science Center. The role focuses on creating reproducible AI workflows for biomedical and clinical data and deploying robust cloud and on-premises integrations.

You will collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and engineers to turn emerging AI capabilities into practical software that advances research in heart, lung, blood, and sleep health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications.
• Proficiency with data modeling and application design.
• Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning for highly technical apps.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical clients.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize design, implement, and develop solutions for complex systems/programs.
• Interact with diverse users and outside vendor contacts; document configurations.
• Provide technical analysis, design, development, and implementation work.
• Lead projects of moderate complexity and mentor junior developers.
• Evaluate and integrate new features/technologies into the computing environment.
• Follow team software development methodology.
