Job summary

Meta is seeking Research Interns to join the Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) Communication & Language teams in Bellevue, WA. Interns will work on core AI research spanning NLP, audio/speech, computer vision, and multimodal ML with a focus on scalable experiments and novel methodologies.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a PhD and have experience with Python/C++, ML/DL frameworks, and a track record of publications or open-source contributions.

Qualifications

• PhD candidate in NLP/AI/ML or related field.
• Experience with LLMs, Speech Processing, CV, ML or DL.
• Strong Python and C++ programming skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States and maintain work authorization.
• Proven record of significant research results via grants, fellowships, patents or publications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to learn semantics across text, audio, images, video, and other modalities.
• Collaborate with mentors, review literature and current solutions.
• Develop novel approaches, implement prototypes and run experiments with benchmarks.
• Draft and polish research reports or publications.
