Position Overview

As an Applied AI Research Scientist at Autodesk Research, you will conduct applied research to help our customers imagine, design, and create a better world.

We are a multidisciplinary team working on projects spanning learning-based design systems, computer vision, graphics, robotics, human-computer interaction, sustainability, simulation, manufacturing, architectural design, and construction.

This role reports to a Manager of Research Science in the AI Lab.

Responsibilities

• Develop new machine learning models and AI techniques
• Lead research projects within a global team
• Review relevant AI/ML literature to identify emerging methods and best practices
• Explore new data sources and techniques to leverage data effectively

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a related field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Linguistics, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related disciplines
• Strong experience applying Deep Learning techniques, including custom architectures, model optimization, developing novel loss functions, and deploying solutions
• Familiarity with statistical methods for machine learning (e.g., Bayesian methods, HMMs, graphical models, clustering, classification, regression)
• Experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX
• Proficiency in Python programming

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction domains, including industry-specific data formats (e.g., BIM, IFC, AEC documents)
• Knowledge of structured data management in AEC workflows
• Experience with 2D & 3D Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, multimodal deep learning, and information retrieval
• Knowledge of computational geometry and geometric deep learning techniques
• Publication record in ML conferences/journals
• Significant research experience or 5+ years of professional experience

• Familiarité avec PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX ou frameworks similaires

Qualifications Préférées
