Job summary

Harnham is seeking an Applied ML Research Lead to manage a growing team of senior researchers focused on computer vision and multimodal ML. You will mentor 5–10 researchers, stay hands-on, and help move research into production in collaboration with engineering and product teams.

You will translate business goals into technical research strategies, driving execution across a cross-functional organization while shaping the roadmap for next-generation AI-enabled media and world models.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a research scientist in computer vision.
• 1+ year of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of senior researchers (likely 5-10), mentoring them and supporting their career growth while staying hands-on with research.
• Oversee transition from research to production with engineering to ship state-of-the-art ML work.
• Partner with Product to initiate and develop research projects translating to user value.
• Communicate goals, drive execution, and inspire across a cross-functional org.
• Translate product and business objectives into technical research strategies.
