Job summary

At Atlassian in Seattle, we are seeking a Research Intern to join the AI Research Systems (AIRS) team within the Research and Insights organization. The 12-week, full-time internship runs May/June 2027 through August/September 2027, offering hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to real-world AI tooling in a collaborative environment.

You will report to a Research Manager, conduct a research project with existing AI tooling, and gain experience in qualitative and quantitative UX research,

Qualifications

• Able to commit to a 12 week full-time (40hrs/week) program during Summer 2027.
• Currently enrolled full-time in a program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship, graduating by August 2028.
• Experience building AI tools or apps in professional, classroom, or personal projects is a plus.
• Understanding of the research workflow from planning to reporting.

Responsibilities

• Report to a Research Manager and contribute AI tools, pipelines, and systems for the R&I team.
• Conduct a research project with existing AI tooling.
