Job summary

Anthropic seeks fellows to advance research in economics, policy, and AI safety. Fellows will conduct empirical studies, collaborate with senior researchers, and contribute to project outputs such as papers and policy briefings.

This four-month, full-time program includes direct mentorship, weekly stipends, and funding for compute and research expenses. Remote options exist for eligible locations; in-person SF workspace is available.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Python and able to translate research into actionable results.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Experience in economics or policy research is a plus but not required.
• Able to work in a flexible, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in research projects across economics and policy.
• Coordinate with mentors and fellows to align with research priorities.
• Prepare and communicate results publicly, including papers or reports.
