Qualifications

• Background in ML engineering or ML research.
• Experience with large-scale data infrastructure in production.
• Track record of building execution plans and reducing operational overhead.
• Ability to debug data pipelines and RL transcripts, and make real-time trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Manage Discovery's compute planning across SL, RL, and sandboxing workloads, including forecasting, allocation, prioritization, and efficiency improvements.
• Monitor the health of scientific RL environments and drive issues to resolution.
• Expedite the external vendor pipeline for RL environments, including quality review and production integration.
• Translate research goals into roadmaps that advance AI scientist capabilities across life sciences and STEM domains.
• Establish processes that bring structure to a fast-moving, unstructured research setting.
• Collaborate with research leads, infrastructure engineers, and data operations to identify blockers and make technical trade-offs.
